Assoc. Prof. Dr Viktoria Atanasova, PhD
Specialist in paediatrics and neonatology. Founder of Detsko Zdrave.
Assoc. Prof. Dr Viktoria Atanasova, PhD, specialises in paediatrics and neonatology, with over 35 years of experience caring for children and over 15 years of teaching. She is the founder of Detsko Zdrave in Pleven. Her work focuses on prevention, individual care for every child and support for parents.
My approach
I am a mother of two sons. I have cared for children for over 35 years and taught students for over 15 years.
What I have learned is that a child’s health depends on many things, and illness reflects disturbances throughout the body. Treating the same problem in different children requires an individual approach.
A paediatrician’s main task is prevention: helping children avoid illness. This is what I have sought to teach my students, and what I want to share with you, the parents.
I want to do more than treat illness and save lives. I want children to be born healthy and to grow up healthy. That is why I want to start talking with you from the moment you decide to become parents.
I want to help you understand how to give your child a healthy start and what you can do to keep them healthy. I want to be there when you need my help, so that together we can raise a healthy, happy child who will carry your family forward.
This is the idea behind our practice, an idea I had carried with me for years. If you are ready to listen, you are welcome!
